The “Concernists Art Collective” is founded by two Kurdish artists born in Iran. Vienna-based Vooria Aria, known for his work in sculpture and visual art and Nasser Teymourpour, recognised for his conceptual and visual artworks, based in London.

They are united by a shared concern for social justice to collaborate and create impactful artworks that mirror their perspectives and engage with today's socio-political dynamics.

Their artistic partnership goes beyond expressing their perspectives. By welcoming new forms and ideas, they actively explore and innovate, pushing the boundaries of contemporary art.

Vooria Aria, Born in 1979 in Sanandaj (Sine), Iran, Vooria Aria currently resides and works in Vienna. He pursued Sculpture and Multimedia studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna from 2004 to 2010 under the guidance of Gerda Fassel and Erwin Wurm, following earlier studies in architecture at Vienna University of Technology from 2002 to 2004.

Vooria's artworks delve into conceptual and material relationships intertwined with his memories and past experiences. A central theme in his exploration is the process of defamiliarization, which recurs throughout his works. Through his art, Aria grapples with his personal history and identity. Despite spending many years abroad, his interest in his cultural roots has grown, and he employs these insights to address migration and social issues in contemporary society, reflecting on the transient nature of identity.

Nasser Teymourpour, born in 1980 in Eilam/Iran. After finishing his Bachelor of Art in Design in Tehran, he moved to Vienna to study Stage Design. He now resides in London and works in design and conceptual art. His works have been exhibited in the first and second Iranian Exhibition of Conceptual Art at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, at three solo exhibitions and more than twenty group exhibitions.  Teymourpour’s current theme of work has taken a step away from using excess material and now has a specific focus on working with the minimum material or even using his own body substances including hair, skin, blood, etc…as mediums in his art.

He also pays specific attention to the actual process of producing his works and considers the process as an important part of the work and that the “hows” and “whys” of the process contribute to the end result.
